Code of Conduct (IQPB, 2026)

Definition: A set of rules and behaviours we agree to follow based on our shared principles and values.

Racist, queer-, and transphobic, ableist, (trans)mysoginist, sexist, nationalist aggressions will in no form not be tolerated. The right to self determination and self defense as well as the fight for decolonisation are our core values.

When violated the needs of the affected person will be prioritised.

We center BIPoC, trans and disabled voices.

Care and comradeship

We practice care by learning and unlearning (our biases), reflecting on our privileges honestly and staying conscious about the space we take up.

We are transparent about the scope of care that can be expected, and honest about our capacities and try to be realistic in our future plans and ambitions.

We are conscious about different needs for anonymity and will not take pictures of peoples (faces) and are aware about our online/offline safety to protect ourselves and others.

If we cannot keep our promises, or make mistakes we take accountability for our actions collectively and individually and agree to learn from them.

We keep on questioning how and why we do things in a certain way and how we can do them better.

In this we stay critical of all institutions, including the one we are a part of.

Conflict

We acknowledge that multiple truths can exist at the same time and that in a space of intersections, conflict most likely will occur. Conflict does not equal abuse, even when emotions are at play.

In its face we stay open to new/other perspectives, and conscious about the role we play in a shared space.

An elected group of five people will be primarily responsible for handling conflict, aggressions and surfacing white fragility. Nevertheless everyone should feel encouraged to support the affected person and stand up for causes outside their own.

Emotion is not aggression, however if a person engages in aggressive behavior violating our aforementioned principles (the -isms), you may be asked to leave the space.

Ignorance is expected to be met with the willingness to learn and do better in the future.

The goal is to create a space where people feel welcome to talk and share, where conflict occurs without shame and we build a mistake culture around care and accountability.

Decisions

Decisions are reached by consensus to not override minority voices.

Decisions can be revoked.

Our decisions are aligned with the values shared in the code of conduct and manifesto.

Conclusion

This is a living document evolving as we grow as a group.
